Glorious Goodwood gets under way on Tuesday and the opening Bet365.com Stakes (1.55) is just the first of many competitive handicaps that take place during the five-day festival. However, Nabucco has shown progressive form in three starts so far this term, culminating with a win in a similar contest at Newmarket last month, and may be capable of defying an 8lb rise in the weights. His latest win came on good going, but he won on good to soft last season, so shouldn’t be inconvenienced by any rain that falls in West Sussex.
